Description

The Billy DeFrank Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center is a vital and successful community organization because of its strong and committed staff and volunteers. • Assure that the Center stays true to its mission, and that its ongoing activities are current and relevant to its long-term goals

  • Act as an ambassador for the Center by promoting the Center and its mission and encouraging others to participate as members, volunteers, potential board members and/or donors

  • Ensure that Center is adequately funded by participating in activities that bring resources into the Center

      that is personally significant

Legal Responsibilities to the Center:

  • Gain understanding of the bylaws and legal obligations of the Center and dutifully adhere to those standards and disclosing any conflicts of interest in performing those obligations

  • Participate in the creation and review of policies that provide guidance and vision for the Center and further its mission

Make prudent decisions based on the needs of those the Center serves, putting the interests of the organization above personal interests
