Description

The primary purpose of these positions is to market the DeFrank Health and Wellness Program through online venues, community events and activities for our whole LGBT Community. Events could include outdoor adventures, fundraisers, dinners, dance clubs, bathhouses, sex club venues, holiday parties and more hosted by volunteer committees or DeFrank staff.

Volunteers are requested to advertise Health and Wellness Programs and events in their community circles, and encouraged to find new ways to advertise. This could be posting provided flyers in libraries, college campuses, LGBT friendly bars, online communities, and other places to let the community know about our services.

Type of Commitment

We pleasantly request a 6-month minimum commitment.

Hour Commitment

Minimum of 5-hours per week — volunteer as much as you like.

Skills Required

Participants must attend volunteer orientation training prior to conducting any outreach. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Friendly, extroverted, and able to organize and energize community members. Pluses for this committee would include strong computer skills, writing/editing, marketing, and graphic experience. Reliable and able to meet deadlines. Internet access, chat-room experience and email required.
