Volunteer Position: Graphic Web Designer & Web Maintenance

Description

Volunteer duties range from suggesting application improvements, graphic design to content management. We are looking for individuals to join our team of volunteers that manage our website and online applications. We are looking for people that are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.

The primary purpose of this position is to grow our current team of quality volunteers. Projects available are youth event programs, social committee events, workshop updates, and special projects.

Experience

We are looking for Web Graphic Designers that have experience in creating highly professional web products and that are willing to spend the time to do a quality job while volunteering

Experience designing marketing material including, brochures, website, UI for applications, logos and other art would be ideal.

Experience working with gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people preferred.

Commitment

Approved applicants are subscribed to an email distribution list and work closely with the Director of Adult Programs, Director of Resource Development, and web volunteers to establish project priorities.

Web updates could be updated offsite, and do not require onsite programming. We pleasantly request a 6-month minimum commitment, with projects starting at 6 hours monthly up to 15 hours a month.

Skills Required

Creative, motivated and energetic. Good knowledge on all MS office applications. Expert level skills in HTML required.

Experience with JavaScript, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark, and related products, Dreamweaver, MS SQL 7 or above, CalendarScript, and phpMyDirectory.com would be pluses.

Excellent written communication skills in English. Reliable and able to meet deadlines. Internet, FTP and email access required.
