Description

To those of you with experience in coordinating social activities for groups, or who like behind the scenes involvement, the women's movie night committee would like to talk to you!

The primary purpose of this group is to assist with the success of the monthly women's dinner and movie night on the 3rd Thursday of every month.

This could include assisting with volunteer recruitment, online marketing, outreach advertising (including updating and posting flyers), set up (including food preparation or pick up), organizing ice breakers, and/or some minor clean up.

Working with Adult Services, volunteers on the committee are encouraged to participate in this social event for women in the South Bay. We would like a committee that reflects the range of interests, ages, races, geography and orientations in our community.

Experience

Experience in coordinating social activities for groups, planning events, and getting people involved preferred. Entry-level experience ok with the desire to learn and help build community. Experience with catering is a plus.

Commitment

We pleasantly request at least a 3-month minimum commitment.

Skills Required

Creative, motivated and energetic with a desire to work with building social programming for the gay and bisexual women of our community. Internet and email access required.

Participants must attend volunteer orientation and be approved with an interview by the movie team that is currently managed by Mary McBride.
