As an Adult Youth Program Volunteer you
will assist in facilitating the weekly youth group meetings,
assist in development and implementation of new youth
programs and projects and serve as a role model to the
youth in these programs.
Type of Commitment
1-year minimum, no maximum
Hour Commitment
Two youth meetings per month —
a total of 6 hours per month minimum
Skills Required
Youth mentioning experience or counseling
experience necessary.
Additional Requirements
Background Check through SJ Police Dept.,
FBI, and Child Welfare Services. You must be cleared
through the above prior to working with any youth at
the DeFrank Center.
Additional Training
Mandatory 3-hour facilitator training
followed by an examination. Also, a yearly follow-up
class.
