Youth Program Dance Chaperones assist in the production and oversight of five Youth dances each year. Chaperones mingle with youth and help with their dance activities, such as snack sales or photography and make sure DeFrank dances are safe and fun events for LGBTQ and allied youth ages 13-20.
Type of Commitment
Dances are held in February, April, July, October and December. Dance shifts are between 4 and 8 hours long depending on availability and chaperone tasks needed.
Skills Required
Youth mentioning experience or counseling experience necessary.
Additional Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age. Background Check through SJ Police Dept., FBI, and Child Welfare Services. You must be cleared through the above prior to working with any youth at the DeFrank Center.
